Adding a Green Button Data Source

  1. To add new hardware to your user account, follow the Adding a Device (Manually) instructions from the Device Settings. Choose Green Button CMD from the list.
  2. Choose your Utility from the list of available electrical utilities.
  3. Click the “Authorize Access” button.
    NOTE: You will be redirected to the selected utility’s website where you must authorize access. Follow the instructions provided on your utility’s online interface.
  4. On successful completion, the Add New Hardware window will close and your new hardware will appear in your Device List.
    NOTE: A Display Group, consisting of all sensors in the new Device, will be automatically created from the newly added hardware. The initial data load may take several minutes to process.

IMPORTANT! This functionality requires that you have an online account with your electrical utility and an electricity meter capable of producing Green Button interval data. It may be necessary for functionality to be enabled from your electrical utility.

  Field How It’s Used
A Description Description of Green Button and resources shared between MyEyedro and your electrical utility.
B Device Label The label that is displayed for the Device. By default, this value is set to “GB-CMD Meter – {Utility Name}” but can be changed for easier identification.
C Most Recent Data Date indicating the most recent data loaded from the electrical utility
D Refresh Data Force a refresh of the data.
E Reload Data Force a complete reload of the data.

NOTE: This process can take a significant amount of time and should only be used if directed by support staff.

F Load Utility Rates Clicking this button will set the rates on your user account to the default rate profile created for your electrical utility.
