License Keys | MyEyedro User Guide

License Keys can be added to your account, from the User Configuration plugin, to unlock additional features. An example would be a MyEyedro Professional license to unlock features like threshold alerts and additional plugins and reports.

License Keys
  1. License List. Lists all licenses currently associated with your user account.
  2. Add License Key button.

Add a License Key

To add a new license key to your user account and assign it to an Eyedro device, follow the steps outlined below.

User Config: Add a License Key
  1. From MyEyedro, browse to the User Configuration plugin.
  2. Click on the Add License Key button.
  3. From the Add License Key form, enter the provided License Key in the text field.
  4. Click on the Submit button to add the license to your user account
  5. From the Assign License to Device form, choose the desired device from the list.
    • If you are trying to extend the license of a device with an existing Active license, ensure the “Hide devices with Active licenses” option is unchecked so all devices appear in the list. IMPORTANT: License extension can only be performed within 60 days of an Active license’s expiry date.
  6. Click on the Submit button to assign the license to the selected device.
    • Alternatively, click on the Cancel button to abort. However, This will result in the License Key being assigned to the user but not linked to a device. This new license can be assigned at a later time in the User Configuration plugin.

Link a License Key

If you have previously added a license key to your account but have yet to link it to an Eyedro device, follow the steps outlined below.

User Config: Link a Claimed License Key
  1. From the License Keys panel of the User Configuration plugin, select the desired license key from the list.
    • The license key Info will contain the work “Unlinked” and the State will show “Claimed”. This indicates that there is a license that has not yet been assigned to a device
  2. Click on the Link License Key to Device button.
  3. From the Assign License to Device form, choose the desired device from the list.
    • If you are trying to extend the license of a device with an existing Active license, ensure the “Hide devices with Active licenses” option is unchecked so all devices appear in the list. IMPORTANT: License extension can only be performed within 60 days of an Active license’s expiry date.
  4. Click on the Submit button to assign the license to the selected device.
    • Alternatively, click on the Cancel button to abort. However, This will result in the License Key being assigned to the user but not linked to a device. This new license can be assigned at a later time in the User Configuration plugin.

Delete an Expired License Key

Expired license keys will remain in the License Key list until one of the following occur:

  • A new license is assigned to the same device, replacing the existing expired license key
  • The expired device is explicitly removed from the list following the steps below
User Config: Delete an Expired License Key
  1. From the License Keys panel of the User Configuration plugin, select the expired license key item from the list.
    • The license key State will show “Expired”. This indicates that the license has expired.
    • Ensure the Hide Expired License Keys option, in the bottom right corner below the list, is unchecked.
  2. Click on the Delete Expired License Key button.
  3. When prompted to confirm the deletion, click on the Yes button.
  4. The list will reload and the expired license key item should no longer be present.
