Tiered Time of Use Rate Profile

The Tiered Time of Use Rate Profile allows you to define specific rates depending on how much electricity has been consumed based on time of day and overall consumption. To edit a rate profile, navigate to the Rates Configuration plugin.

Tiered Time of Use Rates Editing Form

  1. Click on the desired Rates Tab.
  2. The Rates table contains the details of the tiered time of use rate profile.
    1. Label. Ensure the label is unique and descriptive for easy identification.
    2. From (kWh). The starting consumption for the tier. The first tier will always have a From value of 0. NOTE: When changing the “From” value, the “To” value of the previous row will be updated when saved.
    3. To (kWh). The ending consumption for the tier. The last tier will always have a To value of ‘MAX’. NOTE: When changing the “To” value, the “From” value of the next row will be updated when saved.
    4. From. The starting time for the time band. NOTE: When changing the “From” value, the “To” value of the previous row will be updated when saved.
    5. To. The end time for the time band. NOTE: When changing the “To” value, the “From” value of the next row will be updated when saved.
    6. Cost ($/kWh). IMPORTANT: Cost is entered in dollars.
  3. Double click the desired row to edit the values.
  4. Use the row edit controls to confirm, discard, or revert the changes you have made to the selected row.
  5. Use the Add Tier button to add a new time band under the currently selected row.
  6. If necessary, click the Delete Tier buttons to remove the currently selected row.
  7. Use the Add Time Band button to add a new time band under the currently selected row. NOTE: The tier settings, From (kWh) and To (kWh), will be pre-populated to match.
  8. If necessary, click the Delete Time Band buttons to remove the currently selected row.
  9. Not Shown. If you have enabled Weekend specific rates, repeat steps 2 through 8 for the weekend rates table.
  10. Not Shown. If you have Other Fees or Charges to include, add them here. See Other Fees for details.
  11. Not Shown. If you have selected to have multiple Seasons, repeat steps 1 through 10 for each season.

 

IMPORTANT: The specified tiers must span from 0 to ‘MAX’. The first tier must have the From value set to 0 and the last tier must have the To value set to ‘MAX’.

IMPORTANT: Each tier must specify time bands spanning the 24 hour period. The first time band (in each tier) must have the From value set to 12:00 AM and the last time band (in each tier) must have the To value set to 12:00 AM.
