Tiered Rate Profile

The Tiered Rate Profile allows you to define specific rates depending on how much electricity has been consumed to date per month. To edit a rate profile, navigate to the Rates Configuration plugin.

Tiered Rates Editing Form

  1. Click on the desired Rates Tab.
  2. The Rates table contains the details of the tiered rate profile.
    1. Label. Ensure the label is unique and descriptive for easy identification.
    2. From (kWh). The starting consumption for the tier. The first tier will always have a From value of 0. NOTE: When changing the “From” value, the “To” value of the previous row will be updated when saved.
    3. To (kWh). The ending consumption for the tier. The last tier will always have a To value of ‘MAX’. NOTE: When changing the “To” value, the “From” value of the next row will be updated when saved.
    4. Cost ($/kWh). IMPORTANT: Cost is entered in dollars.
  3. Double click the desired row to edit the values.
  4. Use the row edit controls to confirm, discard, or revert the changes you have made to the selected row.
  5. Use the Add Tier button to add a new time band under the currently selected row.
  6. If necessary, click the Delete Tier buttons to remove the currently selected row.
  7. Not Shown. If you have enabled Weekend specific rates, repeat steps 2 through 6 for the weekend rates table.
  8. Not Shown. If you have Other Fees or Charges to include, add them here. See Other Fees for details.
  9. Not Shown. If you have selected to have multiple Seasons, repeat steps 1 through 8 for each season.

 

IMPORTANT: The specified tiers must span from 0 to ‘MAX’. The first tier must have the From value set to 0 and the last tier must have the To value set to ‘MAX’.
